Work will change

As a result of the Corona pandemic, the world is changing rapidly. And it becomes clear that work will never be the same.

In countries that unlock and that re-open their offices, measures are taken to ensure that employees can keep distance. This leads to a new situation in which workplaces become scarce.

Need for new policy and tools

In the short term office space and workplaces/ desks will be scarce as a result of requirements for social distancing at work. Facility managers will need to find ways to divide office space amongst their employees in a way that works best for the company and for their employees. They need to find solution for short term.

It is our firm believe, however, that if these decisions are taken well, this will provide organizations with new opportunities for savings in the longer term!

Opportunity

The view on working from home has changed, with employees and with organizations. Employees will want to return to the office, but not as much as before Corona. Employees want to move towards a new balance, with more working from home than before.

For organizations, this means that new policy is needed and new tools to organize, steer and monitor this shift. And this may well lead to a win-win-situation, when designed and introduced well.

Well designed tools provide the opportunity for savings on the longer run for costs for office space, workplaces and mobility.
